Service Description

- When the owner of a vehicle is deceased the executor or personal representative will need to bring the following: *Valid government issued ID or Drivers License *Original or certified copy of death certificate *Letters Testamentary, Letters of Administration or Letter of Appointment *Original title (if the original is not available an appointment for duplicate title must be scheduled separately prior to this transaction) *Current insurance meeting AS 28.22.011 and AS 28.10.011 requirements and verifiable in DMV's system or dated within the last 30 days *Completed Vehicle Transaction Application - To expedite the transaction please bring all requested documents and if possible bring the paperwork already filled out. This is a single transaction appointment, if you have other transactions that need to be processed please schedule the appropriate appointments separately. If the vehicle previously had permanent Z or P tags or specialty plates you will need to bring the plates in for your transaction so they can be surrendered. - Alaska law requires insurance to be on any vehicles for road use and the DMV is now requiring us to verify vehicles are insured as long as they are registered for any transaction. Please have verifiable insurance on the vehicle before your appointment.


Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, you must do so at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appoint time to avoid a potential rescheduling fee of $20.00.
